Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Pathfinder. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Pathfinder account. If you are under 13, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account on your behalf. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you are a parent or guardian creating an account for a child under 13, you are responsible for your child's use of Pathfinder and agree to these Terms on their behalf.
Pathfinder is an AI-powered tutoring application for K-12 students. It uses a Socratic method — guiding students through problems with questions and hints rather than providing direct answers. The AI tutor is powered by Anthropic's Claude model.
Pathfinder is a study aid, not a substitute for professional education. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate. Always verify important information with a teacher or trusted educational resource.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may create up to the number of student profiles permitted by your subscription plan (1 on Free, 5 on Premium). Each profile is intended for a single student.
The Free plan includes 3 tutoring sessions per month and 1 student profile. Free accounts are subject to session limits enforced at the server level.
The Premium plan provides unlimited tutoring sessions, up to 5 student profiles, and full session history with mastery tracking. Premium is billed at:
Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew at the end of each billing period. Payment is processed by the app store you purchased through — Google Play on Android or the App Store on iOS. You authorize the store to charge your payment method on file at the start of each renewal period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app store you purchased through — Google Play on Android or the App Store on iOS (in the app, Account → Manage subscription deep-links you there). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to Premium features until then.
If you are unsatisfied with your subscription, contact us at support@pathfinder.kroggin.com within 7 days of your initial purchase or renewal and we will review your request. Refunds are issued at our discretion.

Pathfinder's tutoring responses are generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude). While we have designed the system to be helpful and age-appropriate, AI responses can sometimes be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading. Pathfinder is intended as a supplemental learning tool and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information for academic work or decisions.
We do not guarantee any specific educational outcomes from using Pathfinder.
The Pathfinder app, its design, and its original content are owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the academic content you submit (your questions and work). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content to provide the tutoring service.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@pathfinder.kroggin.com. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
Pathfinder is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pathfinder and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or educational opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pathfinder after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
